The theory course consists of a six-day high-level course with written exams. The practical course consists of a five-day liveaboard power or sail course that teaches navigation skills. Participants in the theory course will gain a deep understanding of navigation, meteorology, and safety at sea. The liveaboard practical course provides an opportunity to apply these skills in a real-world setting while learning to operate a power or sailboat. In addition, candidates will also be evaluated on their knowledge of safety procedures and emergency protocols, as well as their ability to navigate in different weather conditions and handle unexpected situations while at sea. The exam is designed to ensure that candidates are competent and capable sailors who can handle a variety of challenges that may arise during a voyage.

  • Electronic navigation aids

  • International regulations for preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS)

  • Ships construction & Ship stability

  • Drydocking

  • Ropework, Towing, Anchoring

  • Emergency procedures

  • Ships power plant

  • General maritime law.

REQUIREMENTS: 

-Advanced power or higher courses

-Basic STCW certificates

-One must hold or obtain a Marine Communications VHF-SRC Radio Operators certificate.

Any of our partner schools may take them.

200 Tons, No Miles limitations

DURATION:

6 Days for sail, 5 days for power

​

MINIMUM AGE: From 18 years
